Business Analyst (Public Sector)

Client: Public Sector

Term: 26 weeks to start with (with extend ability)

Project Location: Toronto, Ontario

Mandatory Skills:

  • University degree or college diploma in a related field (e.g. – Computer Science, Information Systems, Business) or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience as Business Analyst or equivalent hands-on experience in law enforcement, revenue protection and/or revenue inspection units in public transit agencies.
  • Demonstrable experience with business analysis and project management in the solutions implementation of IT and IT-related systems
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across a large organization to collect and analyze business needs and make value-driven recommendations
  • Leadership of Scope of Services development and completion of RFP processes
  • Knowledge of MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Visio
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills

Other Skills / Certification:

  • Hands on experience of developing project and systems documentation, as well as process diagramming and use of formal notation / best practices
  • Analysis, management and implementation of solutions pertaining to fares and inspection, KPI metrics development and change management is an asset
  • PMP, CBAP and/or BA certifications an asset
  • Public Service and Public Transit experience an asset
